The Department of Psychology is a dynamic part of the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences at Hawassa University. We are dedicated to training skilled professionals who apply psychological principles to meet the needs of individuals, communities, and organizations.
We offer a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology and postgraduate programs including a Master of Arts (MA) in Social Psychology, and MA in Counseling Psychology, available in both regular and continuing education formats.
Tour programs prepare graduates for diverse roles in government, non-governmental, and private sectors. Alongside teaching, our department is committed to conducting high-quality research on pressing psychological, educational, and social issues, and providing essential psychological services to the community.
Our programs are supported by a dedicated team of qualified academics including associate professors, PhD holders, assistant professors, and specialties, ensuring a rich and expert-led learning environment.
