Welcome to the Department of Special Needs and Inclusive Education. Established in 2019, we are a dynamic and growing department within the Collage of Education and Behavioral Sciences at Hawassa University.
Our Mission
Our was established to produce competent, dedicated graduates who would lead the growth of special needs and inclusive education throughout Ethiopia. We are committed to excellence in teaching, innovative research, and meaningful community service.
Academic Focus
We provide comprehensive training on human development, learning, and behavior, with a dedicated focus on inclusion. Our programs are designed to equip future educators and leaders with the skills to create supportive and effective learning environments for all.
Currently, the department runs two postgraduate programs and one undergraduate program in Regular program.
